Half a set of Pajama's

My first commercial pattern, nearly complete. A pair of pjs for M. They are only half finished as my sewing machine is stuck in reverse. I was tempted to just finish them in reverse but I think I will wait untill it is fixed.

Burda 3584 size 2

I made a size 2 for my 10 month old. It's not huge on him. I think length wise it could of been longer but the width is fine, lots of growing room.
I used snaps instead of buttons, mainly because I had no buttons that would suit and snaps are so much easier on a 10 month old..
My handsome model. The pants you can see the top of are the first I ever made.

I'm not sure of the top snap placement. I think it is a bit high or M has a fat neck. Maybe both. Overall I think this pattern turned out well. It was a bit of a headache (seriously) but it was the first time I had done a collar and sleeves.

Attempting to mend

Now that M is in K's old clothes, I get to reuse my favourite shirt that K had. Only problem is/was that it had a stain on it.

Because I am attempting to embroider I thought I would embroider over it. It was kind of a disaster. Reminder to self that they make stablizer for a reason lol. Here is the result.

It was bigger but I pulled the stitches too tight, which is where the stablizer would of helped.
I got another delivery today from Crafty Mamas. Some great knits hoping to make them into a few light weights jackets and long sleeve shirts for the boys.

sideways oops.

More shopping

That's right more shopping and a delivery.

My trip to spotlight. Drill to make K some cargo pants and pj patterns. When I got home I took a closer look at the pattern I bought for K and I dont like it. I thought it was a button up shirt but it has 4 buttons then a pleat. I cant exchange it, so I might just have to buy a different one.

Some etsy goodies :). I love etsy.  I love the alice in wonderland fabric so cute and the princess and the frog.

Close up. Isnt it cute.

Superhero's!!!

What do you get your 5 yr old nephew for his birthday ???
His favourite superheros. I love ebay. All of this for the price of a small spiderman.

But what do you make him???
a Superhero cape. Superman one side.
and Batman the other. Modelled by K

No superhero is complete without a mask so its a good thing I made one

I mentioned above that I love ebay. Well I got a great buy the other day. 8 fq for $11. These are OOP and hard to find, they sell for $6 a fq on etsy.

Aren't they beautiful

During nap time I have been cutting. Lots of cutting.
I bet you want to know what they will be.

It's nearly April. I will be squeezing in one last trip to spotlight to buy some pajama patterns and some buttons. Then it will be stash sewing. Wish me luck.
